Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women and can lead to the complete or partial loss of the breast.
A situation in which every woman feels downright mutilated, not only physically but also emotionally.
The plastic-aesthetic breast reconstruction offers the possibilities to surgically create a new, attractive breast. It can not only remove the physical loss but often also contributes to healing the emotional wounds of a breast amputation.
Implant reconstruction: This reconstruction procedure produces attractive results with aesthetically pleasing, specially manufactured implants. Unfortunately, this form of operation is not suitable for every patient.
Breast reconstruction using body tissue: In a reconstruction using your body tissue, fat tissue is taken from the abdominal wall and micro-surgically sewed onto blood vessels in the chest region. The muscle function of the abdominal wall is treated with care.
We cooperate with the leading centre in Europe for the microsurgical operation. That means the highest expertise for you and absolute risk minimisation. Because, whereas often breast reconstruction operating times are between 10 and 12 hours, we often manage to end the operation within 5 hours.
Regardless of the chosen procedure, a reconstruction of the nipple and the areola take place after the reconstruction of the mammary gland and/or the insertion of the implant.
The choice of procedure for breast reconstruction depends on your individual requirements. Therefore, I will discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of the different methods in the initial consultation. In the framework of an extensive examination, I will decide which of them is suitable for your case. Because, in order to make the right decision, you obviously have to explore all options.
